Batero Quinchia Project
Batero is evaluating the most efficient and cost effective mine scenario, including a leach processing circuit and the optimum starter pit production rate from the near and at surface higher grade oxidized gold mineralization at the La Cumbre deposit, one of three porphyry deposits at the Batero-Quinchia project. The development of a prospective starter pit at La Cumbre could potentially serve as the first phase of a larger staged mine development. The Project has further exploration potential as more than 60% of the project area is unexplored.
2013-2014 Plans – Plan for Potential Mine Development at La Cumbre and Continued Exploration
- Strategic mining partner provides capital and reduces development risk as Batero advances La Cumbre toward a development decision
- Preliminary Economic Assessment on La Cumbre oxidized Gold anticipated for Q2 2013
- Fully funded to a Bankable Feasibility Study on the La Cumbre oxide gold mineralization without further share dilution
- Initiation of a full Feasibility Study expected during the second half of 2013
- Exploration budget to focus on new discoveries at the project
- Roughly 60 % of the property is unexplored
- Three new areas of the project are considered highly prospective
- Historic tunnels at the project are being rehabilitated and sampled
2013 Work Program – Focus on La Cumbre
- Focus on near surface higher grade oxidized gold at La Cumbre
- Total 2012 drill program consisted of 35 holes over 4,947 metres will be included in a Preliminary Economic Assessment anticipated for Q2 2013
- 2012 drill results indicate an expansion of 1+ g/t gold core of mineralization
- LC070: from 6.50 m to 150.00 m (end of hole) grading 1.36 g/t gold and 2.58 g/t silver
- LC057: vertical hole from 4.00 m to 100.00 m (end of hole) grading 1.20 g/t gold and 2.16 g/t silver, including from 94.00 m to 100.00 m grading 1.69g/t gold and 3.66 g/t silver
- LC036: from 3.40 m to 100.00 m (end of hole) grading 1.14 g/t gold and 2.37 g/t silver
- Metallurgical testing, including column leach tests, to determine process flow sheet
- Initial geotechnical studies to assess pit slope angles
- Initial engineering and site layout design
- Permitting to initiate exploitation is ongoing
- Environmental studies are ongoing
- Social and community programs are ongoing

2013 Exploration Program
Batero is undergoing a project-wide exploration program focused on determining the potential for epithermal gold vein systems, breccias and additional zones of oxidized gold mineralization. Current initiatives include:
- Soil sample exploration program across entire Project area.
- Linear chip and rock sampling program following up at high priority target areas
- Trenching program
- Detailed mapping and sampling for additional oxide gold targets
- Systematic sampling in the underground artisanal tunnels to better understand the behavior of the veins.
